Summary edit

Description
English: Lane, Errigle This lane comes through the farmyard where my grandparents lived, it was the link to the back mountain, where there were grass fields and an adjacent bog where turf was cut. My memories were of being assigned of taking a large wicker basket filled with hot tea in a teapot (no flasks then) and heaps of Granny Allen's home baked wheaten bread, with butter and jam, in those days, sugar was generously added to the tea. This would have been between the 1950's and 1960's I can also recollect my cousins, also Allens, who lived at the top end of the lane would walk down past my grandparents house and continue to Sunday School at Glenhoy Presbyterian Church, or go to socials in Gleneragleeragh Hall. They didn't have Wellington Boots on because the roadway was in better shape than it is at the present time; one thing was for sure, as we would say here in County Tyrone, "It was a quare wee dander"
