Summary edit

Description
English: Langbaurgh Ridge. Langbaurgh Ridge is part of what is known as the Cleveland Dyke, a plug of hard rock known as whinstone resulting when lava from volcanoes on the west coast of Scotland filled long cracks underground. Wherever the rock outcrops it has been quarried. Here the quarry has been used for domestic refuse and has now been grassed over. Only approximately 400 metres of the ridge beyond Quarry House is in NZ5612 plus the fields to the right.
