English: Large neck amphora in Melian (Cycladic) style, attributed to a Parian workshop. 7th century BC. On the body of the vase there is a misinterpreted mythological scene with three goddesses who are lead by a flying male figure that embraces a scepter a holds by a chain a mythical monster (chimera?) or lion. The four figures are welcomed by a young man holding a spear. The judgement of Paris? In the neck is rider with spear and shield. Archaeological Museum of Paros A 2652. Čeština: Velká amfora v mélském (kykladském) stylu, nejspíše z dílny na Paru, 7. století před n. l. Na těle vázy je svérázně pojatá mytologická scéna: Tři bohyně následují okřídlenou mužskou postavu, která držící žezlo a na řetězu mytické monstrum (chiméru?) nebo lva. Tyto čtyři postavy vítá mladý muž s kopím. Paridův soud? Na hrdle je zobrazen jezdec s kopím a štítem. Archeologické muzeum v Paroikii, Paros, A 2652. |
