Description
The experts at Bruun Rasmussen presented this as perhaps a study for Tuxen's painting of four generations of Danish royalty at the annointment throne. That was all very fine, except they read the year in the inscription as 1909, but the royal painting was made in 1902. Sadly, only the "0" in the date can be seen, so there is no chance of second-guessing.
