English: Spheroidal aggregates of layered manganese dioxide. The sample was prepared by using soft chemistry approaches by the reduction of potassium permanganate by urotropin at elevated temperatures. The image was obtained using a Carl Zeiss NVision 40 scanning electron microscope (100,000× magnification).
