| Description |
English: Le Carbone Built in 1881 as a brewery its location due to a natural spring running under the building. The discolouration of the bricks on the top story indicates that this level was added later to the original building. The brewery remained opened until 1939 when it was taken over and used by the Canadian Army as a base during World War Two. In 1947 it was purchased by Le Carbone a French electrical specialist company who have remained on the site ever since. The building is on the junction of High Street and South Street. |
