Dessin, d'après nature, de M. Eugène Baudouin
Description
There were two outdoor hot air balloons during the 1889 World Fair: one was next to the Trocadéro, and the second one (represented here) was at the other end of the exhibit, next to the École Militaire. Visitors could admire the view from 400 meters above ground. The cityscape in the background includes the Palais des machines, Palais des expositions diverses, the two Palais des Arts libéraux and Palais des Beaux-Arts, the Eiffel Tower, and the Trocadéro Palace.
