Français : Le ferry-boat "Ibn Batouta" accosté a l' embarcadère pour le Maroc à Algeciras. Le M/S "Ibn Batouta" IMO 6611095 avait été construit en 1966 pour la compagnie maritime les Lignes Maritimes du Détroit (Limadet, Tanger) par les Ateliers et Chantiers de la Seine-Maritime (France). Ce navire a été utilisé d' abord sur la ligne Malaga - Tanger puis dans les années 80 et 90 il a desservi la ligne Tanger - Algeciras. Il a servi aussi à emmener des pélerins marocains à La Mecque. En 1998, il a été vendu, passé sous pavillon de Sao Tomé et renommé "Valentina". Il a été démoli en 2001 après 34 ans de service. Le M/S Ibn Batouta IMO 6611095 mesurait 93 mètres de long et 16,62 mètres de large. La puissance de son moteur était de 6470 kw et sa vitesse 18 noeuds. Il pouvait accueillir plus de 1200 passagers. D' autres ferries - boats ont été nommés "Ibn Batouta".

Information about Ibn Batouta may be found at IMO 6611095. A ship can change name and flag state through time, but the IMO number remains the same through the hull's entire lifetime. As a result, it can be useful to identify a ship by using the IMO number. |
