Description

"Microcosme montagnard échoué au Jardin des Plantes", comme le définit l'un de ses jardiniers, ce jardin écologique est un lieu préservé, intimiste. Situé à l'emplacement de l'ancien carré où étaient cultivées les plantes pour le Jardin des Plantes, il présente l'originalité de réunir, sous le ciel parisien, des plantes originaires de plusieurs massifs montagneux de France (Provence, Pyrénées, Alpes calcaires et siliceuses, Cévennes...), mais aussi du monde (Caucase, Balkans, Maroc, Chine, Japon...). On y trouve également quelques spécimens typiques de milieux spécifiques, comme les tourbières.
