Description
English:
Former Raffay House. A brick facade, mezzanine floor, Art Nouveau, listed, dwelling house. Planned by Pál Kottay, local architect and the builder, László Raffay. Mr. László Raffay was a teacher of the ~'State Vocational School of Wood and Metal Industry'. Since 1940s the house owned by Tábith family. In 1990 Tibor Tábi, an educator of the Szeged University, left the building to the Piarist Order. The teaching order remodelled to a student accomodation. Since 1992, the building has been home to the ~Sándor Sík Piarist University Dormitory, which accommodates 24 students. Built in 1902-1903. A series of glazed ceramic ornaments runs around the façade of the building. The characteristic feature of the building is the gable decorated with bricks. The entrance is located next to the façade of the house, youcan get to the courtyard through a door with wrought iron decoration. - 2/a Lechner Square, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-CsanádCounty, Hungary
