Summary edit

Description
English:
Former Szígyártó House. The building was built in 1903 to Albert Szígyártó, a teacher of the ~'State Vocational School of Wood and Metal Industry', who later was a founding member and chief master of the second (the "Szeged") Freemason Association in Szeged. Planned by Albert Szígyártó and Pál Kótay architect. The two facades house is located in the area of the city whose level was intended to be raised after the great flood of 1879, so it was expected that the buildings would be built relative to the established ground level. For this reason, the building was built in a strange one-and-a-half-storey design. The current ground floor was originally intended as a cellar, and was only allowed for residential use until it was filled. (The area has not been filled since.) There are green ceramic building decoration reminiscent of peacock feathers and on top of windows decorative glazed ceramic leaves,- 2/b Lechner Square, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary
