Description
English: Leipzig: Bridge “Elisabethbruecke” in the course of the Avenue Erich-Zeigner-Allee on the Canal Karl-Heine-Kanal, seen from the “Riverboat”.
The creeks in Leipzig used to be very dirty and almost black due to the coal-burning power plants and chemical industry around Leipzig. Now they are much cleaner and rediscovered by the Leipzig people for fun and recreation. If you have some spare hours rent a boat and you will discover Leipzig's back view. There are several cafes along the creeks with landing stages for your boat.

Die Flüsse in Leipzig waren früher dreckig und, bedingt durch die Kohlekraftwerke und Chemiebetriebe rund um Leipzig, fast schwarz. Jetzt sind sie sehr viel sauberer und werden für Spaß und Erholung von der Leipziger Bevölkerung wiederentdeckt. Wer in einer Mußestunde ein Boot mietet, kann Leipzigs „Rückansicht“ entdecken. Entlang der Flüsse gibt es einige Cafés mit Anlegestellen für Boote.
