Description
English: Leo Hepp (1907-1987) as a witness at the Nuremberg Trials. Leo Hepp was a German career officer, who was second in command of the Wehrmacht Signals Division (Oberst Hepp was Chef des Generalstabs beim Chef des Heeresnachrichtenwesens im OKW). In the Bundeswehr, commanded first the 10. Panzerdivision and then II. Korps as a Generalleutnant. This photograph of Hepp as a witness was taken by US Army photographers on behalf of the Office of the U.S. Chief of Counsel for the Prosecution of Axis Criminality (OUSCCPAC, May 1945 - Oct. 1946) or its successor organization, the Office of Chief of Counsel for War Crimes (OCCWC, Oct. 1946 - June 1949).
