Öfverallt funnos bilder med »gal-liska», d. v. s. groft oanständiga ämnen, upplifvande väggarna.Både i England och Frankrike älskade man vid sekelskiftet att för-klara det goda ordet »Naturalia non sunt turpia» så, att naturligabehof ej blott äro icke skamliga utan äfven lustiga, hvilket ärmindre säkert. De äro kanske oskuldsfullare, dessa snaskigheter, än 1700-talets galanta bilder, de påminna om skämten på medeltidenskonsol- och kragstenar och ha, som förut nämndes, ett barnsligtborgerligt drag men äro n
