Description
English: Levant - the man engine shaft This is the site of the steam powered man engine that broke in 1919 resulting in several deaths. There is access to the shaft from a spiral staircase in the corner of the former "dry" that leads to a short tunnel. There are a wall and a fence around the open mouth of the shaft.
