Summary edit

Description
English: Detail of south side of the General Lew Wallace Study in Crawfordsville, Indiana. The face in the center of the limestone frieze is that of Judah Ben-Hur, from Wallace's novel Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ. The carving was done under Wallace's supervision, and is presumably a good representation of the author's own image of the character. The studio is currently a museum; it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
