Historic Privy located in the campus of the Lewes Historical Society

Summary edit

Description
English: This privy has two seats. It originally was the Harbeson Railroad Station privy, later known as the Broadkill Station. The privy dates to 1870, and the photograph was taken in September 2022. The station served the Junction & Breakwater Railroad, which changed ownership several times and ultimately became part of the Pennsylvania Railroad before being permanently closed. Ownership of the property became the Bryan family of Sussex County, Delaware, who subsequently donated the privy to the Lewes Historical Society. The structure was then relocated to the campus of the Lewes Historical Society.
