Lichtenberg fractal figure in Polymethyl-methacrylate (plexiglas)

Summary edit

Description
English: This fractal is created by the dielectric breakdown of plexiglas by electron irradiation.

This phenomenon being the same as that of lightnings and the breakdown of condensers, its study in plexiglas helps to get a better understanding of both of these types of incidents.

Moreover, the bio-engineering community is considering using such molds to create synthetic blood vessels.
