Description
Deutsch: 2: Entdeckung des Königsmordes durch Macduff.
König Duncan machte Macbeth in Anerkennung seiner Dienste zum Than von Cawdor. In Macbeth, der so die Voraussage der Hexen in einem Teil erfüllt sah, reiften die bösen Gedanken zur Tat. Mit Unterstützung seines Weibes, das ihn in seinem Vorhaben bestärkt hatte, ermordete er den König, als dieser eine Nacht als Gast in seinem Hause weilte. Macduff, der Vertraute des Königs, entdeckte die Mordtat. Am nächsten Tage wurde Macbeth zum König proklamiert.
