Deutsch: 3: Macbeth erblickt den Geist des ermordeten Banquo. Macbeth fürchtet für seinen Thron durch Banquo, hatten doch die Hexen ihn Stifter einer Königsfamilie genannt. Banquo mußte also fort, sollte Macbeth seine blutige Tat nicht vergeblich begangen haben. Gedungene Mörder bringen Banquo um, doch sein Geist erscheint Macbeth bei dem Königsmahl, das dieser seinen Edlen gibt. Fast verrät das Erschrecken über die Erscheinung Macbeth, und nur seinem Weibe gelingt es, ihn und seine Gäste wieder zu beruhigen. |
