Deutsch: 3: La Traviata - Fest im Hause Violettas. Mit seiner Oper »La Traviata«, die 1853, also im nämlichen Jahre wie der »Troubadour«, zu Venedig aufgeführt wurde, erntete Verdi neue Lorbeeren. Die Titelheldin dieser Oper ist die bekannte »Kameliendame« Alexander Dumas des Jüngeren, doch wurde die Handlung des malerischen Kostüms wegen ins Jahr 1700 verlegt. Auf unserem Bildchen sieht man die Darstellung eines Festes im Hause der Heldin Violetta Valery (der »Kameliendame«) und zwar in dem Augenblicke, wo ihr Liebhaber Alfredo Germont einen Trinkspruch auf sie ausbringt. |
