Description
Deutsch: 5: Gluck und Marianne singen Klopstock in Strassburg Oden vor.
Sehr reich auch an äusseren Erfolgen kehrte Gluck 1780 nach Wien zurück. Die Academie de musique sicherte ihm für jede weitere Oper 2000 Lire zu und die Kaiserin Maria Theresia verlieh ihm den Titel eines »wirklichen kaiserlich königlichen Hofkompositeurs« mit einem Jahresgehalt von 2000 Gulden. Auf dem Wege nach Wien traf er in Strassburg mit dem von ihm hochverehrten Sänger des Messias, Klopstock, zusammen, von dessen Oden er verschiedene in Musik gesetzt hatte, die er und seine Pflegetochter Marianne nun zusammen dem Dichter vortragen konnten.
