English: La Gomera island suffered a big fire on the summer of 2012. One year later, the scar is still quite significant. However, on some hills, the burned trees stand along fresh shoot of ferns Español: La vida se abre paso. La Gomera sufrió en el verano de 2012 un incendio que dejó devastada buena parte de la isla. Un año después, esas heridas son aún tristemente palpables. A pesar de la desolación de los paisajes quemados, en algunos lugares los troncos quemados contrastan con los incipientes brotes de helechos.
