Summary edit

Description
English: Lighthouses at Port Glasgow These lighthouses mark a bend in the navigable channel in the Clyde. As the name suggests, Port Glasgow was once the main port of Glasgow which is 20 miles up-river. The town turned to shipbuilding after the channel to Glasgow was opened in the 1880s. See 337674 for a closer view of The Perch in the background. Note also the WWII defence post.
