Summary edit
DescriptionLimestone Quarry in upper Cwm Twrch - geograph.org.uk - 1100842.jpg |
English: Limestone Quarry in upper Cwm Twrch This has to be one of the most remote quarries in the entire national park. The remains of a limekiln are in evidence below it (out of shot). It lies beside one of the long bridle routes which traverse the Black Mountain - in this case from Ystradgynlais to Llanddeusant so lime may have been removed on horseback from this spot. |
