Description
Deutsch: Die Belagerung der Stadt Lingen durch Fürst Moritz von Oranien im Jahre 1597.
English: This maps depicts siege of the German town Lingen by a Dutch army led by Prince Maurits. The fortress is surrounded by army troops and siege machines. The map was included in the first volume of Joan Blaeu's (1698-1673) Town Books of the Netherlands which was dedicated to the Northern Netherlands.
Nederlands: Op deze kaart zien we het beleg van de Duitse stad Lingen door een Nederlandse legermacht onder Prins Maurits. Rondom de stad liggen de legerkampen van de verschillende Nederlandse commandanten. De kaart werd in 1649 gepubliceerd in het eerste deel van het stedenboek van Joan Blaeu (1596-1673).
