Description
Deutsch: Blick flussaufwärts (nach Osten) an der Lippeschleuse Heessen, Hamm. Die Lippe im Hintergrund liegt im Naturschutzgebiet „Schlagmersch“. – Die kleine Schleuse an Schloss Heessen wurde in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts erbaut und gegen Ende des Jahres 1826 in Betrieb genommen. Sie diente im Verbund mit 11 anderen Schleusen ähnlicher Bauart dazu, die Lippe zwischen Lippstadt und Wesel schiffbar zu machen.
