Description
English: « Livre d’Or », 9 m long painting by Antoine Fontaine (1830-1896). It depicts 91 famous visitors of the town of Spa (Belgium), along with the "pavillon des sources de la Sauvenière", the "pavillon de la Géronstère", the 1863 Bathing House, the Leopold II-gallery and the "Pouhon Pierre-le-Grand" (where the painting itself is housed since 1894). Among those depicted: Descartes, Henry III of France, Charles II of England, czar Peter the Great.
