Summary edit

Description
English: Lloyds signal station, Bass Point. The signal station was used in pre-radio days to communicate instructions to ships leaving/arriving the inshore waters off the southernmost tip of the English mainland. A little further west along the coast path is the site of a radio research station (and a plaque commemorating Marconi's work) which helped to develop the technology that made stations like this redundant.
