English: Llwybr Ceiriog Trail - Croes yr Esgob. The Llwybr Ceiriog Trail traverses the steep slopes above the Vale of Llangollen, following the upper edge of the woodland where it abuts the hill pastures above. We were looking for Croes yr Esgob ("Bishop's Cross") as marked on the OS map and assume that this is it - possibly the base of a mediaeval cross? Cannot find any reference to it other than the name - any information? |
