Description

Een sprinter nadert Station Schiedam Centrum vanuit de richting Hoek van Holland, vlakbij de plek waar de Treinramp bij Schiedam plaatsvond.
Notitie: de botsing vond plaats op ongeveer 200 meter links van de plek waar deze foto werd genomen (de foto werd vlak bij de hoek van de Johan Braakensiekstraat en de Burgemeester van Haarenlaan gemaakt op ongeveer 51.92462, 4.39928

). Op de braakliggende grond aan de linkerzijde lag de wijk naast het spoor, die op de historische foto's van de ramp zichtbaar is (deze is nog zichtbaar op Google Maps hier geraadpleegd op 31 december 2011; kopie hier). Vanwege drijfzandwaarschuwingen heb ik me niet op deze grond begeven. De tunnel onder het spoor bij de Parkweg ligt dichter bij de rampplek.
