Description
English: Photo taken at the Lofoten War Memorial Museum (Norwegian: Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum) in Svolvær, Norway's largest exhibition of uniforms and smaller items related to the Second World War and the German occupation of Norway 1940 – 1945. Exhibits on the outside by the entrance door to the museum:
  • Uniform greatcoat of the Norwegian Army (Norwegian: Hæren) from 1940, with red piping and civilian buttons. Also leather belt with shoulder straps, pouches, etc.

  • Wooden skis used by personnel from the Org. Todt and German female telegraphists on duty in Norway. Mended ski binding.
These German skis were found in the autumn of 2000. They were hidden under a big stone in the mountains at Hamarøy, Norway. The skis were used by German ingineer officers from Org. Todt and German telegraph girls.

Norsk bokmål: Foto tatt i Lofoten Krigsminnemuseum i Svolvær, Norges største utstilling av uniformer og mindre gjenstander med tilknytning til andre verdenskrig og den tyske okkupasjonen av Norge 1940–1945. Utstilte gjenstander ved inngangen til museet:
  • Sid, dobbeltspent (dobbeltknappet) uniformsfrakk for Den norske hæren i 1940. Med rød passepoil (kantbånd) og sivile knapper. Brunt lærbelte med reimer og tasker.

  • Ski brukt av tyskerne i Norge under krigen, funnet på Hamarøya i 1969:
Tyske ski uberørt i seksti år. Disse tyske skiene har ligget gjemt under en steinhelle høyt til fjells på Hamarøya. Skiene ble brukt av to ingeniører ved Org. Todt samt to tyske telegraffdamer. For å slippe å dra skiene ned til lavlandet, ble de skjult på fjellet under en steinhelle. Her skulle de ligge til neste år, men så var krigen over, og de ble aldri hentet. De ble funnet av Jens Wassmo i 1969, men ble først hentet ned av ham i år 2000. Legg merke til hvordan de har reparert bindingene med elektrisk kabel.
