Ausschnitte aus "Die Waldnachbarschaft in Bladersbach. Teil 2: Nutzung des Gemeinschaftswaldes im Frühjahr"

Charakteristische Frühjahrsarbeit der Waldnachbarschaft ist das Lohschälen. Mit dem Lohschälmesser wird die Eichenrinde vom Stamm gelöst, auf einer Ricke getrocknet und dann zu Lohbürden gebunden. Nach dem Lohschälen, Schanzenbinden und Brennholzabfahren sammeln die Waldnachbarn Waldlaub als Streueinlage. Als Spielzeug für die Kinder wird ein Waldhorn aus Rinde gefertigt.
