Summary edit

Description
English: London's rubbish on Kent beach. The foreshore around the old Halstow brickworks site is made up of broken bricks, crockery and glass, much of it melted (well, not the crockery). The brickworks of north Kent provided bricks for building work in London. The Thames sailing barges brought rubbish from the city and returned laden with bricks. The rubbish was used in the manufacturing process being mixed with local clay. Larger pieces of crockery were presumably discarded and the brickworks site looks to be built upon this rubbish with, in some places, brick, crockery and glass fused together in large lumps 122919.
