English: London As USUAL- Everyday Life in London, England, 1940
A wide view of the Strand in London, looking East from Aldwych. Clearly visible are the Gaiety Theatre on the left and the church of St Mary-le-Strand in the centre of the road. Pedestrians walk past the theatre and a row of cars or taxis can be seen in the centre of the photograph. The kerbs on the traffic island in the foreground have been painted in sections in black and white to make them more visible to pedestrians. A large war savings poster can be seen on the wall of the theatre.

The image was catalogued by the IWM as created for the Ministry of Information, which was dissolved in 1946.
