| Description |
English: London Transport bus T107 (reg. CUL 107V), pictured heading east along Longbridge Road (the A124) in Barking, East London, operating London Buses route 87 to Beacontree Heath.
Across the road is the Faircross Parade of shops. As denoted by the black tyre tracks at the gate, out of shot to the right is Barking bus garage (code BK), which was actually the home garage of T107 at this time. Having entered service just three months earlier, it was part of the batch of crew-operated Titans that replaced Barking garage's fleet of Routemasters operating route 87 (maintaining the the peak vehicle requirement at 26 buses). Having existed in one form or another since 1950, route 87 was replaced in March 2006 by a revised version of route 5. This freed up the number to be used for a new route 87 from June 2006, which was a renumbering of route 77A to remove the letter suffix. |
