St. Mel's Cathedral, Longford, County Longford, Ireland


English: Holy Family altar and painting which survived the 2009 fire. The altar of reddish marble was created in the 18th century and was bought for Longford in 1890. The painting of the Holy Family is based on a painting by Murillo which was bought in Rome in 1891. (See St. Mel's Cathedral Longford – Visitor's Guide.)
