Description
English: Looking across Langstone Channel towards Fort Cumberland. This channel is the mouth of Langstone Harbour, and is at the very Western end of Hayling Island. Across the water is Portsea Island (Portsmouth & Southsea), the channel was protected by Fort Cumberland (the chimney & radio tower in the distance), built in the C18th it was the last Bastioned fort to be built in England.
