English: Looking across Southampton Water from Shore Road, Langdon towards Hamble-le-Rice oil terminal. In foreground part of Hythe Spartina Marshes. Spartina is a kind of cord grass: tough, erect plants adapted to periodic flooding by sea water. Spartinas are useful for land reclamation and coastal protection. See also 331127 .
