Title
English: Looking north on Occidental Ave. S. from Yesler Way, ca. 1903
Description
English: Looking north toward Yesler Way and Hotel Seattle, with interurban train waiting at Puget Sound Electric Railway depot in Seattle National Bank building, Seattle.
  • Subjects (LCTGM): Streets--Washington (State)--Seattle; Street railroads--Washington (State)--Seattle; Hotels--Washington (State)--Seattle; Business districts--Washington (State)--Seattle
  • Subjects (LCSH): Occidental Way (Seattle, Wash.); Puget Sound Electric Railway; Hotel Seattle (Seattle, Wash.)
Title (from University of Washington Library) is wrong; in fact, no portion of Occidental Ave is north of Yesler Way. This is looking north on Occidental Ave S roughly from South Washington Street toward Yesler Way. In front is the Hotel Seattle, later demolished for the "sunken ship" parking lot. On the right is the building now known as the Interurban Building.
