Portside view of the Japanese troopship Yamazuki Maru beached in Doma Cove area during the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, November 1942. After being forced to the beach by U.S. Forces, the ship was entirely destroyed by fire resulting from the shelling and bombing she had received. U.S. Marine Corps photograph.
