Description Lot-9848-13: WWII: German Activities. German (Type VIIA) U-boat, U-30, 1938-40. Captain Fritz-Julius Lemp and crew return to homeport from a successful enemy war patrol. U-30 sank 17 Allied merchant ships and damaged two. The German submarine was decommissioned in January 1945 and used as an instructional boat until being scuttled in May. Translated from German.
