Description Lot 11643-2: Middle East Activities. The Allied Advance into Syria. Axis infiltration into Syria compelled the advance of eh Allied forces to avert so dangerous a threat. British and Free French Forces have been opposed by the Vichy troops, and there has been hard fitting along the entire front from the Mediterranean to Damascus and Palmyra.
