Español: Luminancia es la propiedad constante de toda superficie para absorber y reflejar la luz que recibe, independientemente de la cantidad y/o calidad de la iluminación: (Haya más o menos luz el porcentaje de luminancia será el mismo. En este círculo de coches el blanco siempre será el más claro, independientemente de la cantidad o tonalidad de la luz que reciba.
Euskara: Luminantzia: hartzen duen argia absorbatzeko eta islatzeko edozein azalaren jabetza konstantea da. Luminantzia ez du ezer ikusirik argiaren kantitate edo eta kalitatearekin: (Nahiz eta argi gehiago edo gutxiago izan azal baten luminantziaren portzentajea berdina izango da) Borobil honetan auto txuria beti izango da argiena, berdin da zenbat eta zer nolako argiak joko duen.
