Svenska: Ett minnesmärke tillägnat Märta Ljungbergs (1656-1741) minne, som donerade sina rikedomar till fattiga och studenter samt sin mark där Ljungby köping senare grundades. RAÄ-nummer Ljungby 73:1 enligt Riksantikvarieämbetet.

Stenen lyder:

Märta Ljungberg / 1656-1741 / Född på Ljungby gästgivaregård. En handlingskraftig småländsk kvinna som drev gästgiveriet med omsorg och framgång, överlevde fyra regenter, blev rik och köpte mark. / Dog barnlös och skänkte en stor förmögenhet till småländska studenter och de fattiga i Ljungby, Kånna och Angelstad socknar. På den av henne donerade marken kunde Ljungby köping byggas hundra år senare. / Ljungby hembygdsförening reste stenen 1981.

English: A memorial dedicated to Märta Ljungberg (1656-1741), who donated her riches to students and poor and her land where the town Ljungby later was founded. RAÄ-number Ljungby 73:1 according to the Swedish National Heritage Board (Riksantikvarieämbetet)

Märta Ljungberg / 1656-1741 / Born on Ljungby hostelry. A energetic Smålandian who ran the hostelry with care and succes, survived four regents, became rich and bought land. / Died childless and gave a great wealth to Smålandian students and the poor in Ljungby, Kånna and Angelstad parishes. On the of her donated land could Ljungby town be built a hundred years later. / Ljungby historical society erected this stone 1981.
