Image du premier jour de la séparation entre les deux Allemagnes à l'emplacement du Mémorial du mur

Le début de la construction du mur de Berlin a eu lieu le 13 août 1961.

Les prises de vue ci-dessus ont eu lieu 50 ans après. Elles portent sur la partie sud du Mémorial qui ont été réaménagées pour l'anniversaire des 50 ans.

Lé Mémorial du mur de Berlin se trouve dans la Bernauer strasse. C'est un lieu de recueillement et de mémoire.

La rue Bernauer marquait la frontière entre le quartier de Wedding à l'ouest et Mitte à l'Est. Elle a été le lieu de tentatives de fuite tragiques.
