Description
Deutsch: Pietà – Detail des Historiensteins auf dem Raiffeisenplatz in Kärlich, 1985 in Erinnerung an die Burgkapelle aufgestellt. Bildhauer: Paul Milles. Vorlage für das Relief war eine Holzstatue, die ursprünglich in der Burgkapelle stand und seit den 1940er-Jahren in der Kirche St. Mauritius, Kärlich, steht. – Wegen eines Neubauprojekts der Volksbank RheinAhrEifel wurde der Stein von seinem Platz entfernt und wird im Bereich der gegenüberliegenden Grundschule aufgestellt. – Die eingemeißelte Jahreszahl 1769 nennt das Jahr, in dem die Burgkapelle erstmals urkundlich erwähnt ist.
