Description
Deutsch: "Münzbrunnen" oder "Münzstattbrunnen" am Transformatorenhäuschen an der Schwarztorstrasse 62 in Bern, Schweiz. Ursprünglich im Innenhof der "Neuen Münzstatt", erbaut 1789-1792 nach Plänen von Jacques-Denis Antoine (1733-1801). 1912 beim Abbruch der "Neuen Münzstatt" wiederverwendet. Einziges Überbleibsel der "Neuen Münzstatt". Die Ausgussplatte (Löwenkopf) stammt von 1912; der ursprüngliche Entwurf für die Münzstatt sah zwei Bronzevasen vor, die aber schon 1912 nicht mehr vorhanden waren.
