Summary edit

Description
English: M50 motorway bridge over the old Gloucester to Ledbury railway. The M50 was one of the first motorways built in Britain, here the motorway crosses the course of the old Gloucester to Ledbury railway. The line closed to passengers in 1959 and the last goods train was on 30th May, 1964. The line used to pass through a cutting here, this was also the site of Four Oaks Halt. Oddly there is now no evidence of the old cutting, without an OS map you may not realise this is the site of an old railway line. The transmitter is at Four Oaks beside the motorway.
