Description
Español: El ministro de Defensa, Pedro Cateriano Bellido, presidió esta mañana el acto de conmemoración por el 133º Aniversario de la Batalla de San Juan ocurrida en el Morro Solar en el distrito de Chorrillos, durante la Guerra del Pacífico.

La ceremonia rindió homenaje a los héroes anónimos que entregaron sus vidas por la Patria en la defensa de Lima el 13 de enero de 1881, y contó con la participación de autoridades civiles, policiales y los comandantes generales de las Fuerzas Armadas.

A nombre del Ejército, el General de Brigada EP Julio César Yáñez Tamariz, resaltó en su discurso de orden el ejemplo de unidad, valor, lealtad y fidelidad de estos valientes peruanos, en jornadas de resistencia heroica frente al enemigo invasor.

Previamente, se colocaron ofrendas florales a nombre del Ejército ante el Monumento del Soldado Desconocido levantado en el Morro Solar y se rindieron honores a los caídos.

Finalmente, el monseñor Guillermo Inca Pereda, Administrador Apostólico del Obispado Castrense, ofició una acción litúrgica donde reiteró la importancia de la gesta en la memoria histórica del Perú.
